Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor gets Padma Shri

Famous Bollywood and Hindi cinema Actress Kangana Ranaut and filmmakers Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor are among 118 people who will get Fourth Highest Civilian Award Padma Shri from Government of India.

As Per List released by Indian Government (Ministry of Home Affairs) On Saturday, which includes 7 Padma Vibushan, 16 Padma Bushan and 118 Padma Shri Awards for various categories and 33 of awardees are women and also includes 18 Forginors/NRI and 12 Posthumous (Award after Death) awards.

Producer & Film Maker Karan Johar tweets and says “Overwhelmed by so many emotions right now, I know my father would be proud and I wish he was here to share this moment with me” with hashtag #blessed.

Karan Johar Son of Bollywood Producer Late Yash Johar started his career in 1998 from his Superhit Hindi film “Kuch Kuch Hota Ha” a film starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

The Padma Awards will be honored by President of India at Ceremonial function in Rasthtrpati bawan usually in March or April Month every year.
